How do I open the Rust F1 console?

Press F1 in game to open the developer console and type the command. On a private server you also need admin permissions, which are granted by adding your SteamID64 as owner in the server configuration.

If a command does nothing, first confirm that you are an admin on that server and check the command syntax, including quotes around item names.
